In the fast-paced and highly competitive world of digital marketing, achieving a prominent online presence is not merely a desire but an essential strategy for businesses to thrive.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the cornerstone of this strategy, determining how effectively a website ranks in search engine results.

However, ranking for a limited number of keywords has become a failed SEO strategy.

Most SEO strategists see clients pursuing an SEO strategy focused solely on ranking for just a handful of keywords — usually somewhere between 3 to 10 target keywords.

While this may seem reasonable, focusing all your efforts on such a small group of keywords is a flawed SEO strategy that will not result in meaningful organic traffic or business growth.

When you spread your efforts across a wide array of keywords, your content becomes diluted and needs more depth to stand out. There’s no denying that a solid SEO approach is essential to secure a high position in search engine results.

While seemingly broad and comprehensive, targeting a range of a few keywords is indeed a failed strategy that often yields underwhelming results.
