When you cuddle, hold, or pat an animal, your serotonin and dopamine levels rise — your feel-good, relaxing, happy hormones. This can help you feel less depressed and lonely and more self-confident and happy.

Even just watching fish swimming around in a fish tank can be a calming and relaxing experience.

I think animals overall are therapeutic and they give you undivided attention when you needed it. Plus they will not answer you back agree with you in some way and keep all your secrets 😁
