I was in a restaurant a while ago and overheard people at the next table talking about food that could burn fat while you slept. Really!

I looked down guiltily at my plate and decided it was time to do some research.

And in the end, I found out about foods that actually do burn fat while you’re having sweet dreams! (Links at the end)

Sleep is essential for our physical health. It helps us repair cells, build new tissue, and maintain muscle strength. It also helps us cope with stress and improve memory.

But there are some things we need to do before bedtime to make sure we get the best possible rest.

Sleep deficiency can lead to serious health issues. It can affect your ability to learn, focus, remember, manage your emotions, and cope with change. It can even shorten your life.

Obesity: Seven to nine hours of sleep per night is recommended for adults. Lack of sleep may lead to weight gain. Research shows that sleep deprivation causes changes in the brain’s reward system.

Which makes us crave foods high in sugar and fat. It also increases our desire to eat

Some very interesting stuff. Was very much aware of the health benefits to some of these weight busting foods (I.e. nuts, bananas & avocado) but never knew the flip side of it helping you to lose or maintain your weight. Any idea how late you would eat before going to bed, to gain the benefits of eating them?

Soooo many useful tips in this piece.
